A Longlist of Aussies

The 2013 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award longlist has been announced and 6 Australian libraries took part. There were 154 books  nominated by libraries in 120 cities across 44 countries. The award has been around since 1994 when the Lord Mayor of Dublin City set out to create an award that would seek interest both antionally and internationally.

This year, 11 Aussie authors made the longlist, with a number of the books popping up being winners of other awards. The shortlist for the award will be announced on the 9th of April followed by the winner on the 6th of June.

The 11 Australians are:
