Another Crystal Bear for Moore
Australian director Matthew Moore has been announced the winner of the Best Short Film award for his entry into this year’s Berlinale – Berlin International Film Festival,
which was recently held 7th-17th February. Moore was awarded the Crystal Bear in the Generation KPlus section for his film adaptation of Craig Silvey’s novella, The Amber Amulet.
“Having a film compete in The Berlin International Film Festival had been a long held dream for me. To win back-to-back Crystal Bears is out of this world. I’m thrilled the jury and audiences in Berlin embraced ‘The Amber Amulet’. It was an honour to bring Craig Silvey’s beautiful novella to the screen” said Moore, who also won the 2012 Crystal Bear for his short film ‘Julian’.
