Bared to You
Everyone is talking about Fifty Shades of Grey and how good it is (I don’t agree), and luckily Bared to You by Sylvia Day is a [relatively] new release that is evidence that there is better erotica out there. For one I didn’t want to take Eva by the shoulders and shake her like I did with what’s her name [Ana] from 50SOG, and Gideon Cross while being as ridiculously rich as Christian Grey isn’t the complete ass that he is.
There’s a whole lot of sexual tension and sex in the book, but it’s not the whole book. The sex is supported by enough plot and character development, both of the leads and supporting peeps, that the story is enjoyable – it even made me care about what was going on and where things are headed. I’ve given it a 4 star rating on the Co-op Online.
One thing that does annoy me about this book is the cover art – I like it, but the heel is out of proportion that would make the shoe impossible to walk in, but that isn’t really relevant for the readability…
Bared to You is the first in the Crossfire series, book 2 Reflected in You is available now, and book three, Entwined With You , will be available early 2013.
