Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival 2013
To all those sandgropers out there – this one’s for you! The Co-op is a proud sponsor of the 2013 Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival, to be held in Geraldton from 13th-15th September.
The festival, which takes place at the Geraldton Universities Centre (GUC) as well as a few other spots around town, brings together a host of featured authors to present workshops and panel discussions. The theme for the year is ‘Sunlight and Shadows’, with the festival also playing host to book launches and signings, poetry readings and a pop-up bookshop… by none other than yours truly, of course.
The Co-op UWA team will set up camp at the GUC from 9.30am-5pm Saturday and 9am-12.30pm Sunday to sell titles by all the festival’s featured authors: Ailsa Piper, Boori Monty Pryor, Deborah Burrows, Dianne Wolfer, Jon Doust, Ian Reid, Michael White, Michael Robotham, Scott-Patrick Mitchell, Toni Jordan, Brenton McKenna, Clarrie Cameron, Susan Midalia, Katherine Heyman and more.
The Co-op crew will also make book-selling appearances at events across town such as the Festival Launch at Geraldton Regional Library on the Friday, as well as at cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs Alain Fabregues and Emmanuel Mollois at The Durack Institute.
For more information, download the Big Sky Festival Programme here, and be sure to check out our full list of book titles that will be available at the Co-op UWA pop-up store.
The team look forward to seeing you there!
