Ah well… The race that stops the nation was a 153 years young this Tuesday, and is to be followed by the rest of the Spring racing festival – Oaks Cup and Ladies Day (although guys can go to that race too). Regardless if you’re a high roller or just there for the fashionable wildlife, Melbourne Cup is a significant racing event and a time for high stakes and tall hats.
